Rolls Royce Phantom 3 Stage Pain Correction
This customer came to us with their 2006 Rolls Royce Phantom that is used as a private hire car for Weddings/ proms ect, wanting the years of miss treatment corrected, as you can see from the pictures before we had even stripped and clayed the car down the big ‘swirl’ scratches are very visible and greatly effecting the Gloss of the shine and reflection.
We treated this motor the same as any other despite the brand and cost the only real difference to consider is the sheer size of this 5 tonne monster. Usually you would find a Rolls Royce or any other very expensive car to have very hard paintwork which just means it takes longer to cut away at the surface to remove the imperfections we need to as a professional, but as it turns out the car has had a respray at some point in its life which is why we found some panels to be very soft and some to be as hard as expected. This meant we had our work cut out for us on this job.
We started by cleaning and stripping the car down of contaminates and any waxes or sealants. The hard work then starts as we began machining down the harder paint first and moving onto the softer paint, this process took a total of three days to complete and thats not including all the cleaning, waxing and sealing that was then carried out over the whole car. On this vehicle we did not carry out any interior work as the bill was racking up and the customer wanted to save some money.
From star to finish the job took almost 7 days but the results were well worth it as you should be able to tell from the pictures.
Jaguar F-Pace 4×4 NEW Car Protection Details
This customer came to us looking for a new car protection detail, but their first priority was to make sure we could remove the thorn scratches that had accumulated over a few months of owner ship as the customer lives in the country side and regularly is on narrow country lanes. This was of course no problem for us at EPIC.
We began by cleaning and stripping the car down of any contaminates and or waxes and sealants previously applied. We then began the process of machining out only the imperfections as the paintwork was already in very good condition (some of the best factory applied paintwork I have seen) this included the whole passenger side and some smaller pieces around the bonnet and tailgate. We were successful at removing the scrathes.
We then used a machine applied glaze to enrich the gloss of the paintwork that had not been machined down. We then sealed and waxed the whole car before moving to the interior.
Here we started by hoovering the entire interior thoroughly and wet vacuuming the carpets (as the seats are full leather and cannot be wet vacuumed) we then applied Qyeonquartz Fabricoat and Qyeonquartz leather coat to the floor matts and seats for a long lasting protection from stains and other potential damage.
Volvo V70 Estate 3 Stage Paint Correction
This customer came to us with his newly purchased Volvo V70 Estate and was disappointed in the condition of the paintwork from the dealership (a common complaint) and although maintained correctly by the customer, some bird dropping etchings (a permanent stain caused the by the acids in bird poo) had formed on the paint surface. This was no problem for us at EPIC.
First we stripped the car down of all the waxes and polishes that had been applied over the 2 years since the car was manufactured, with Autobrite All purpose cleaner and QyeonQuartz Surface prep we then clay bared all the panels that were still holding embedded contaminants. This then lets us see the true extent of the damage to the paintwork. We then completed a full 3 stage correction on the entire vehicle taking extra care on the roof and bonnet that had multiple of the previously mentioned bird etchings. We then applied a GyeonQuartz Cermaic Coating which is one of the best and most expensive sealants in the world (roughly £50 for a car this size).
Then we proceeded to give the car a full interior detail including leather protection for the seats for this we used QyeonQuartz Leather Coat and other Gyeon interior products. The Glass was then cleaned and polished using Autoglym Glass polish and wheels sealed using Autofineese SI02 wheel sealant.
BMW X6 2 Stage Paint Correction
This car was being prepared for sale by the customer who was having the wheels refurbished while I worked on the car. The job consisted of a 2 stage paint correction on all major panels using Autobrite Correct It cutting compounds with the matching brand of Foam Polishing Pads. The job was completed over 2 and a half days.
Autobrite Nanomite sealant was then applied to the whole car twice to ensure an even and durable bond with the paint surface. A soft Carnauba Wax was then applied over the whole car to also enhance the gloss and protection of the sealant.
All windows and glass are cleaned and polished in this detail.
BMW Series 1 Custom Mini Valet
The car arrived having done many miles since its last wash. As with all white cars, the front and sides were covered in bugs and tar spots. The whole car was covered in a layer of grime known as ‘traffic film’.
First, we rinsed the car with a pressurized power washer to remove the top layer of dust and loosen the ‘grime’.
Next, we used the two bucket method to hand wash the car. This helps remove all of the grime and filth and a majority of the bugs.
We then performed a power rinse and hand dry, before using a specialised wheel cleaner and tyre dressing.
Next, we use a insect remover and tar remover to get rid of the last of the contaminates from the paint.
Next, we cleaned and polished the exterior glass.
The last and most important exterior process is to wax the entire car.
Afterwards, we removed the matts and vacuumed the entire interior, including the boot and matts. We also gave the trim and dash a clean and dust. Finally, we cleaned the interior glass and use a auto fresh odour killer for fresh new car smell.
Additionally, refilled their washer bottle and checked their tyre pressures free of charge.
